R.E.M. Live - Michael Stipe

 

R.E.M. today have announced that their 15th studio album is in the bag and due out in the Spring of 2011.

Produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, Snow Patrol, Bloc Party), who produced of 2008's Accelerate, R.E.M. have been recording in New Orleas at the Music Shed and in Berlin at the famed Hansa Studios, where several several legendary albums, including David Bowie’s Heroes, U2’s Achtung Baby, and Iggy Pop’s Lust for Life, were made.  Additional recording and mixing was done at the venerable Blackbird Studio in Nashville.

That great "one hit wonder," The Outfield, from the 80's just will not die. They are back at it with their latest, self-produced and self-funded album due to hit the waves this year.

The band that brought you hits such as "Your Love," "Say it Isn't So," and "Since You've Been Gone," to name a few. Those names don't sound familiar? Trust us, you've heard the songs.

Either in Movies, TV Shows, Radio or on the net, The Outfield have some of the best remembered and most often played power pop songs the 80's (and later) ever produced.
