Indeed, the peculiarity of this supergroup has arrived enFull -
CD (or download). And not a moment too soon. Apparatjik have been well at
work since we first reported
on it way back in October of 2008.
We Are Here is an appreciable mix of electronica-inspired,
'strange-pop.' If you were into Mew before this supergroup formed, you
should be well - 'er should I say mal-adjusted to the "uniqueness" of
Apparatjik. I cannot pin-point much Coldplay influence, but I do hear
Mags' signature artsieness throughout.

Today
(September 1st) Dave Bazan has released his first LP under his name
(since Pedro the Lion or Headphones) on Barsuk records entitled Curse Your Branches. I am rather pleased with the outcome from this boy yet not raving crazy.

Years
ago I would never had thought that I would be listening to Thrice, yet
because of the prodding by a couple of my friends I allowed myself to
listen to the Alchemy Index Vol I-IV and my whole perspective
has changed. I used to think that they were just high-energy, annoying
punks that somehow made their music loud enough for those kids who felt
"oppressed" by the "man" -- whoever that is. So I decided to give
their next album a chance as well... and I was not dissapointed. Beggars is the 6th installment for these, now, mature artists.
