R&R Drum Solo - Trio Friday

 

Our weekly salute to rhythm is not a solo exactly, but a trio.  Quite possibly the most watched drum exhibition video on the Net.  Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, and Vinnie Colaiuta taking turns burning each other up with some amazing drumming.  Three very different styles, all equally as impressive. Will Calhoun - drummer solo

Anyone who was a fan of the Rock/Metal scene in the 80's and 90's has no doubt heard of the visual expression that is none other than Living Colour. Best known for their break-out classic, "Cult of Personality," Living Colour remains a rare bread as to this day there exists very few all-black hard rock bands, and currently none in the mainstream of music. Although Living Colour is still in play and right now supporting their 2009 offering, The Chair In The Doorway, they've softened quite a bit from their debut release, Vivid and taken a more free-form approach to rock music following the leading of drummer Will Calhoun.
