Coldplay, A-Ha, Mew

Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman together with A-Ha's Magne Furuholmen and Mew's Jonas Bjerre are tracking a new album set to be released early next year.

The collective, Apparatjik, (or 'agent of the apparatus') have the opening track on Bruce Parry's BBC2 TV show 'Amazon' with their song 'Ferreting'.

Anyone familiar with the members of these bands will instantly recognize their sounds blend in a unique way that is fresh and inspiring. Deep bass lines smoothly blended with electronic keys and yearning, Mew-ish vocals set you into a trance of awakening. Check out the new song Ferreting on itunes.

Apparatjik - "Ferreting" - Lyrics

In a train that goes really fast
Overtaking those trees at last
But we don't care about that
We are not scared of it
Maybe I'll see you again
Maybe I'll trust in a friend

I'll wait until there's you
I'll wait until there's you

From a plane that flies really high
I can see the stars fill the sky
But we don't care about that
We are not scared of it
Maybe I'll see you again
Maybe I'll trust in a friend

Love all of their songs! I am definitely an apparat-chick after hearing the songs they put on their myspace and can't wait for a possible full length album.
