Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique: 20th Anniversary Edition

Wait, Wait, Wait. Has it REALLY been 20 years since Paul's Boutique was realeased? While it was initially considered a bit of a failure in the shadow of the multi-platinum selling Licensed to Ill, Paul's Boutique is a very important album in the history of hip-hop. In the world of pre-digital Hip-hip albums, you will hard pressed to find its match in the art of sampling. Almost every sound you hear on it is a found sample, beats and all. They built an entire album on snippets from the crates. For the 20th Anniversary release, Yauch, Diamond, and Horovitz have given an old friend a rework inside and out. All the tracks have been remastered, and now has "enough bass to shatter your one frozen testicle", in the words of MCA. The artwork has also been redone. For the superfan, you can order the Paul's Boutique 20th Anniversary Commemorative package which includes an 8'x1' poster of the cover artwork, LTD Edition T-Shirt, Remastered CD, Remastered Album on 180 gram vinyl with 8 panel gate-fold and immediate digital download of the remastered album. In addition, they have added a lot of cool features to the Beastie Boys Website, including previously unreleased versions of videos from the album, trading cards, a album length commentary track and much more.
