I'll be honest with you when I saw the name of one of the band members of Enation, Jonathan Jackson, and read that he was an actor turned musician visions of a crappy teenage by the river drama with Sara Mclaughlin's faint voice in the background caused me to almost give up on them. Luckily I was intrigued and inquired more about this band and realized that although Jonathan and his brother Richard, who formed the band, were actors they had not been on the WB sitcom. Enation is a group of four guys who have burst on the scene in the past year culminating in their 2008 release, World in Flight.

The vocals sound like a cross between David Gray and Augustana which is a perfect soothing blend throughout their album. The songs are rich in symbolism and not the symbolism that ultimately breaks down into a failed metaphor. "Feel This (Love Fall Down)" is the most popular song on the album aided by cover that Bethany Joy Galeotti did of the song on the TV show "One Tree Hill". Bethany Joy is married to Michael who is a member of Enation. "Permission to Dream", "Present/Future (Endless Joy)", and the title song "World in Flight" are great songs on this album that make for a great Sunday afternoon drive to nowhere. I highly recommend this album to anyone who enjoys Augustana, Jackson Waters, or Snow Patrol.
