If your going to find yourself in Jakarta this weekend (October 8-10, 2010), you just might want to stop by Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2010 otherwise known as "Java Rockin'Land 2010."

The 10-stage 3-day event will include a wide smattering of artists including Mutemath, Wolf Mother, Mêlée, Styper, Stereophonics, and The Smashing Pumpkins.

The Indonesian event is promoted in an effort to show the world that Indonesia and Jakarta in particular are safe, modern places to visit.

Gudang Garam InterMusic Java Rockin'land 2010 is put on by Java Festival Production who has quite a lot of experience putting on big shows in Indonesia.

You might also want to stay around until October 29th and 30th for the Simply Red Farewell Tour that will take place at the Java SoulNation Festival that will also include Coolio, Les Nubians, Raul Midon and Relax.

In March (2011) there will also be a Jazz festival. I get the feeling these people just don't want you to leave once you get there. ...And with music like this, maybe that's not such a bad thing.
