Kyle Rae Sweet 1956-2009

After a long fight with cancer, Kye Rae Sweet, wife of Stryper front-man, Michael Sweet passed on to be with the Lord at 8:30pm on Thursday March 5, 2009.
Michael met his wife Kyle during the recording of Stryper's first video "You Know What To Do" when she agreed to do makeup for the shoot. As Michael recalls:
"I remember hugging Kyle at the end of the night and feeling as if we knew each other our entire lives. She
was God sent yet it took me a while to realize this. She stood by my
side during an unstable time in my life and always loved me
unconditionally, no matter what. I shared God's love with Kyle through
scriptures and prayers many times, yet it was her who showed me how to
love - how to really love someone. I asked her to marry me and I was
blessed and fortunate enough to hear her say "yes". I realized at that
very moment that she was my soul mate and the one that God had chosen
for me."
Kyle had a successful career doing makup for such films as Ghost, The
Terminator, Repo Man, and Teen Wolf. She also had a degree in child
psychology. Caring for her husband Michael and their two children,
Mikey and Ellena, whom she home-schooled, was her dedication.
"She
is one of the most brilliant people that I've ever known yet she has
the most gentle, humble spirit of anyone I've ever met." - Michael Sweet.
A private funeral service will be held in the coming days.
To best honor Kyle's work as a home-school mom there has been a fund set up
called The Sweet Children's College Fund.
In lieu of flowers, donations
to this fund can be made payable and mailed to:
