Arthur Kam Drum Solo

Arthur Kam Drum Solo and interview.

Arthur started drumming at the age of 6 as a result of his mother starting a band for a wedding and he's developed a nice sense of timing and rhythmic clarity that rivals drummers many years his senior...

Among a long list of accolades, Arthur has the distinction of holding Malaysia's record for "youngest person to complete a professional drum course" and finished with distinction, the highest honor in the country. He seems to have a bit of the Doogie Howser gene as well; as he completed grades 1-8 in only 6 months. Arthur is currently an endorser of Yamaha Drums, LP percussion and Sabian Cymbals and is among the youngest endorsers in the world. Arthur was also the winner of Modern Drummer's Undiscovered Drummer for 2008 (18 and under category).

Arthur and his other siblings, Nigel and Genervie (an amazing violinist), started "The Music Kampany" in 2006 as a way to promote their musical talents, have built a home studio and in a collaboration with Wildwave, launched i-amtv, the Independent Asian Music Television channel in Shanghai.

Here's wishing Arthur well and success in his future drumming efforts.
